No warning, no siren, the people unaware.
No silence, no worries, no tension in the air.
The seconds soon to follow,
Would make their lives hollow.
The tremor that struck,
Struck worse than foul luck.
Lives were lost,
Survivors found, others lay lost benath the ground.

My perfect day would be fantastic,
You could have a perfect day, one day.
Palm trees would surround me,
Everything I wanted I could have.
Roasting marshmellows on a fire.
Four beautiful girls dancing in the pool.
Every scene set would be just right.
Continuous money raining on to me.
The world would be in my control.
Delightful food that everyone likes.
And I’d Jet ski, mountain climb and relax.
Youth offenders would behave or be put away!

As I woke I felt the touch of the silk bed sheet I love so much
As I rise I get the chance to watch the summer breeze makes my blinds dance
I go to the bathroom to take a scrub then I get the cent of delicious grub
I sprint downstairs, don’t want to be late I pick up my fork and clear my plate
School goes quick don’t want it to be last my mates are the best we all have a blast

If I could have a perfect day
It would go a little like this
In my hands a pen and some paper
In my head a running top of thoughts
Silence in my head
Covers over my body
Keeping me warm
I wish I had a day in my bed

The air is clean
The sky is blue
And on that day I’d spend it with you
The feel of sea through my hair
The smell of cookies in the oven
Ooh what I’d give to have this day over again!

Stay in bed till ten
Then play with Ben
Go back in
And see my pet
Play on my Xbox
Then chase the fox
Have my tea
I have had Spaghetti
I’m still hungry
But I am angry
Because there is none left
The guy outside is committing theft

As the leaves slightly move with the breeze
And I can hear the children
Playing in the park across the road
The sun out high in the sky
With me and my friends sunbathing in my front garden
That is my perfect day
Competition Entry – Sam Berry 8T February 3, 2010
The flowers and trees blow in the wind
Everyone hears the birds sing
The children like to play
They could stay here all day
The children have made this their playground
They love to spin around and round
