Task: Write a short poem (no more than 10 lines) about your ‘Perfect Day’. Your poem could focus on the place, the people or an activity that would make your day ‘perfect’.
How to enter: Write your poem on a sheet of A4 paper, along with your name and form, and give it to Mrs. Danton in L10.
Closing date: Friday 29th January 2010
Prize: Winners we be selected from KS3 and KS4 and will receive an excellent prize and certificate from school.
The best poem from each Key Stage will then be submitted to a National Poetry Competition with a chance to win a Nintendo Wii and £1000 for the school.
All entries will be displayed on Mrs. Danton’s showcase blog (link on school website), as will the result of the competition.

Are you a budding writer? Do you write poetry or stories in your spare time?
If you answer yes to either of these questions then help is at hand! Post your poems and stories here and allow fellow pupils to read and enjoy them!
If you have a poem or story you would like to include please type it up and email it to Mrs Danton at emma.danton@salford.gov.uk. Alternatively you can bring the work to Mrs Danton in L10 on a pendrive/memory stick!
